Navagraha or the nine planets influence the life of every person.
It can either give harmony or misery to the individual as per its movements.
There are Shanthis and Parikaras specific to each planet to get rid of the evil effects. The nine planets are as follows.
Surya or Sun - He is the most powerful living God who can be seen by everyone.
Chandra or Moon - He is a lovable God universally appealing to everyone.
Angaraka or Mars - He is called as a God of martial character. Being red in every aspect, he is the Son of Earth and is ruled by Lord Subramanya.
Budha or Mercury - He is considered as the greatest bestowing wisdom and wealth on his devotees.
Brihaspati or Jupiter - He is responsible for curing from ailments, helps to ward off sins and gives strength, valour, and longevity.
Sukra or Venus - He is the bestower of long life, wealth, happiness, children, property and good education.
Shaniswara or Saturn - He is believed to affect the life adversely on occasions when he occupies certain positions in one's horoscope.
Rahu - He strengthens one's power and converts an enemy into a friend.
Ketu - He is said to bring prosperity, good health, wealth and cattle to his devotees.
